My first full background in Photshop! I went for a kind of unrealistic, atmospheric thing instead of realism on the trees and such.
HOWEVER.
HOLY CRAP, THOSE SCALES.
I have never taken so long to do detail! I kept having this little problem called EVERY TIME I DECIDED TO SIT DOWN AND DO MORE SCALES, THEY LOOKED WAY BETTER THAN THE LAST TIME AND DIDN'T MATCH. As a result, many of the scales were done several times.
Totally lost track of how much time this took. It was fun, though, and really got me out of an art slump.
Besides, it's Dommie. <333 I LOVE YOU, DOM.

Dear gods those are a lot of scales! What a strange and disturbing creature, so awesomely made!
