Trophic Ink

Gift art for a friend and officemate IRL!  We used to work in the same lab.  She's moved on to doing a PhD in a different lab and now studies burning bush's potential as an invasive!

The research involves trophic interactions between deer, the plant, and spider and beetle assemblages. And there's some work on (invasive) Japanese honeysuckle in there as well!

She wanted me to draw her a beetle or spider as a little reminder of me when I eventually move.  But I wanted to do a little design incorporating more parts of her work.
