Which one of y'all mofos is responsible for this?

Thank you very much!!

Of course, now that I have the membership and actually have the opportunity to change my username like I've been wanting to for AGES...

I realize that my usual username is not available!! Drat!  I'll have to think of something else.

Anyway, thanks again!  Whoever you are, you should let me know so I can thank you personally!

Yup, I'm alive! If you're watching me, sorry for not uploading stuff in so long!  I expect to get some photos of recent work soon, so be on the lookout.  I have sort of been taking a little hiatus on drawing and instead working on crafts and other Art of the Third Dimension.  xP  Grad school keeps me plenty busy and digital art just takes too many steps sometimes.  Too much time, and since I already spend most of my day in front of a computer... well, anyway, that's why there's a lack of digital art lately.  I'm going to try to get back into it.  Need to see if my new laptop will work with CS4 and my tablet.  I really need a new pen nib, too, and I haven't been able to find any...

*mutters more excuses*

Also I got tagged to answer some questions, so heeeeeere we go!

1) What's your most favored type of clothing?

Anything comfortable.  I'm a jeans and t-shirt sort of person.  I'll also do flannels/button-ups or camis. I need to work on dressing more nicely but ehhh.  I hate clothes shopping.

2) If you could be related to any famous person, who would you choose?

This is a hard one.  I am not sure, because I'm not sure what benefit the relation gives.  I hardly ever see my actual relatives!  But I really would have liked to meet/know Steve Irwin.  Big hero of mine.

3) Do you play any video games?

Yes, quite a few!

4) If you play video games, what's your favored form OR do you play board/card games instead?

I like adventure type games with immersive worlds to explore and preferably real-time action. I have no preferred system.  My favorite series include the Legend of Zelda and Pokemon.  Some of my all-time favorite games are Twilight Princess, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, and Red Dead Redemption.

5) If you could see one thing; anything at all before you die, what/where would you choose to see?

I would really like to see clean energy become ubiquitous and systems be in place to protect the environment and (somehow?) limit population growth in an ethical way.  So, I kind of want to see the planet be healthier in general.

6) PC or MAC?

Both/either.  Macs are tough as shit and last forever.  Every Mac I've ever had has lasted 5 or 6 years and never had a single problem (including my laptop that was dropped numerous times).  They're easy to use, great for graphic design/art, and now have more abilities than ever.  But PCs are great for gaming and are kind of easier to modify.  Plus, so much cheaper for the same specs.  But Macs have nicer touchpads by far.  I've used both types a lot and I like them both.  I grew up with Macs because old Macintoshes were WAY more user friendly for my parents, so I feel great nostalgia for the computers and the old Mac games.

7) Do you think technology has better connected society or driven community apart?

Both.  It's easier to get in touch with people and connect, but it is a distraction from the deeper connections people can make in person.  Overall, I think it's been more of a positive thing, because you never have to drift apart from anyone completely if you don't want to.  But I don't think contact through technology is nearly as deep and complex as in-person contact.

8) Is there one thing in the world that could never possibly have enough of?

Snacks, maybe!  I love food.  Or snow!  I seem to always want more snow.

9) Rain or sun?

Sun, I suppose... though I really would never want one without the other.  If it was sunny all the time, it would be boring.  Nothing beats a warm, dark rainstorm!  But I also wouldn't want to be wet all the time.

10) Who/what do you consider to be your Guardian Angel?

Nothing, really.  Never have really felt like I have one.  But I know my loved ones look out for me, and that's good enough.  :3

I have started uploading stuff on Furaffinity! -> www.furaffinity.net/user/kisot…
I'm a little intimidated by the large community there and the fact that I have a huge backlog of art that I need to look through and see what to upload.  xD

So please watch me there as well if you have an account!  :D I'd love to know who all is over there so I can watch them, too.  (And if you know any must-watch artists on FA, feel free to share!  I need suggestions.)

Watchers, if you have any questions you'd like to ask me, or anything fun you'd like to share about yourself, please do!  I'd like to reach out to the DA community more, because I hardly post or share anything here.

Tagged by :iconrekacryistall: Cheating and not tagging, but I couldn't pass up the interesting questions.

1. If you were offered the ability to see the future, would you accept?

Nope.  Don't think so.  What's the fun in life if you already know what's going to happen?  Rarely have I ever desired to know the future.  Instead, I prefer to think "the future is not here yet, so we can still make it what we want."

2. What's the weirdest trait you think you have?

Oh, man, these "pick one" questions are hard.  I have a lot of weird habits and traits.  I don't know whether to put physical or personality traits.  Maybe I'll put one of both.  These are just samplings, though.  I really can't pick the very weirdest things of all the weird things.

Physically - Hmm...I have central heterochromatic eyes.  That means I have a central ring of distinctly different color in each eye (note that many eyes have kind of a range of colors - central heterochromatism means a reaaally obvious and sudden difference in color.  I have greenish eyes with a spiky band of light brown in the center (I've been told it looks like "an explosion," haha.  I seem to have inherited this from my father.  The outside of his eyes are really blue now, though - since light-colored eyes can often change slowly over time, I wonder if my eyes are going to turn blue, too.  o_o

Personality-wise - Don't know what to choose!  Some of the weirder things I don't feel like publicly sharing.  I guess it's weird that I like to get up early and that I'm terribly hard to offend.  :P

3. Do you play videogames? (If you have PS3 note me and I'll add you to me friends list XD)

Yup!  I've generally been a Nintendo fan because it's what we could afford when I was younger... I love the Legend of Zelda series, Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, and immersive adventure games of all sorts.  Currently playing Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption, and Mirror's Edge (which I am hilariously awful at).

4. If you could have one job; any job at all; what would you pick?

I want to work with wildlife.
5. Why would you pick the job from question #4?

I've been studying so hard all my life to do that.  I've looked up to people like Farley Mowat, Jane Goodall, Steve Irwin, and Jeff Corwin all my life.  I want to improve public knowledge and appreciation for science and nature, so I can help reverse the damage that has been done to the environment, and help people and animals to both live together better.

6. What do you think is the worst trait of humanity?

Again, hard to pick one thing.  Ignorance, maybe.  I don't think very many people are bad.  Evidence suggests most people are actually pretty decent.  But people are often kind of willfully uninformed.  Put that together with apathy, and you get a really bad mix of nice people doing humongous damage because no one knows any better and no one cares to know... and no one thinks that their actions are affecting much. I think those are the worst traits of humanity as a whole.

As individuals or smaller groups, there are all kinds of greed and corruption, though.

7. What do you think is the best trait of humanity?

Their ability to actually consider and care about their own actions and to care about each other and other species.  That is absolutely unique to humans.  What other species CONSCIOUSLY tries to prevent or mourns the loss of another species?  There are occasions of other species just helping each other out, but the level humanity goes to to help people and other species in need is pretty amazing, and it's very admirable.

8. What is your ultimate dream car or ride? (can include horses, ATVs, anything that you can ride)

I don't really care much about rides.  I've never had a car, horse, or anything else.  More than anything, I'd like to get around on my own without burning up nonrenewable resources.

9. Would you take the offer of immortality if it was offered to you?

Probably not.  There's a lot of different ways this could go - staying young forever would be better than getting old, but not dying.  Being invincible and able to heal from damage would be better than being just as weak as ever, but never able to die.

But being immortal, even if I was forever young and could recover from any injury, would not be worth it to watch all my friends and family die, over and over again.  How lonely.  Besides, being human forever could get boring FAST.

Although, I have to admit, getting to see what evolution and stuff has going on for the future would be pretty cool.

10. Are you tired of me asking complicated questions yet? ()

Nah, this was a fun thought exercise.  :P

Meme time?

5 min read
ALSO, why doesn't DA want me to change what I'm listening/reading/watching?  I am not doing any of those things right now.  That's from my last journal, but I can't find where to change it.

Anyway, I've been tagged by:iconsagekorppi:!  I've never done one of these things on DA... but then again, I've never really been tagged.  I'll bite. xD

RULES:
1. You must post these rules (Very Important indeed).
2. Each person must post 11 things about themselves in their journal.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create eleven new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4. You have to choose 11 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
5. Go to their page and tell them you have tagged him/her.
6. No tag backs.
7. No stuff in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you are reading this." You legitimately (AKA, really, truly, with all honesty) have to tag 11 people.

Here's Sage's questions!
1) What motivates you to create art?
My own imagination and the great art done by other people, as well as boredom and the simple desire to MAKE something.

2) What motivates you to post your art online?  Mostly, reaching out to other people.  Swapping art, making friends, sharing the joy.  I don't have a ton of artistic friends in real life, and they certainly don't like drawing the same things I do.

3) What is your favorite "guilty pleasure" television show?  Oh, man... probably Syfy's "Being Human."  And yeah, I watch the U.S. version.  It's surprisingly un-cheesy for a SyFy show.

4) What is your preferred venue for posting art?  (DevArt?  Personal website?  Facebook? Etc.)
Just DA right now.

5) What is your favorite environment to be in/explore?
I am partial to rich forests and sprawling prairies.  So much fun!

6) What is your favorite environment to illustrate?
Probably the same as 5, although I'm not much good with environments.  Fantasy/imagined ones are good, too!

7) How much time do you spend on art a day?
Depends.  Anywhere from "no time" to many, many hours.  If I have something I'm seriously working on, it'll probably be quite a bit of time.

8) What hobbies, outside of art, do you have?
I like to find bones and things, I play videogames sometimes (does that count?), I like to read, and I chase squirrels.  >:E

9) What kind of pets do you have?
I have had my fire-bellied newt for 13 years now... I found a puppy for my dad this summer (we named her June)... and I used to have a cockatiel named Tsuki.  She was the best.  <3  None of my pets are anywhere near me, though.  I miss them!  Can't have pets in the dorms, except fish, and I'm not good with fish.

10) If you could go Hillbilly Hand Fishing, would you?
If I could be pretty sure I wouldn't be permanently harmed, oh yeah!  Looks exciting.  I love catching animals.

11) Do you actually watch journals on DA?
I do, but unless it's from someone I know relatively well or looks really interesting, I won't actually read them.  And if you post more than two a day, just... stop.  :P

Okay, tagging!!

:iconangeltigress03: :iconrekacryistall: :iconavelithe: :iconoctodogphotography: :iconkittyvel: :iconnhyra: :iconlinaeve: :iconroesoftheshadows: :iconthe-corico: :iconscopimera: :iconundeniableguile:

TAG-EES, here are your questions!

1) When in your life did you really start getting into art?
2) What kind of art do you really hate doing? Eg, do you hate pottery? Do you think charcoal is a pain in the butt? (Note: this is not a "what don't you like to draw" question)
3) What was the last thing you dressed up as for Halloween?
4) What kind of career do you want/ your dream job?
5) What are/were your favorite toys?
6) What is your weirdest habit?
7) What's your favorite internet meme?
8) What kind of animal are you afraid of (or what kind creeps you out, if none scare you)?
9) Ever been in a really huge blizzard?  Let's hear about it!
10) What's the last book you read?
11) Favorite season of the year and why?
