Description
I've been trying out t-shirt bleaching lately! But so far all the other stencils have been pre-existing things (Rebel Alliance Logo, Undertale's Delta Rune, Mad Max stuff, a cassette tape stencil, and a phylogenetic tree).
This one's my own design though! I got the idea in my head for a coyote skull and crossbones shirt design. But I couldn't find any suitable stencils. So I started looking for a photo that would work to edit in Photoshop and try to make into a stencil. Still no luck!
So I said screw it, I'll take my OWN coyote skull photo! With blackjack! And hookers!
I conveniently have a coyote skull from SD on my shelf, so I put it on a black background, took my photo at the exact angle I wanted, and then played around with thresholds in Photoshop until I liked the effect. I ended up doing a bit of painting over to touch up areas that needed it.
Then I added the crossbones, printed, and cut out the stencil! That was another enormous pain. It is a somewhat complex stencil.
Still, I like the effect, and now I have a nice and totally unique coyote skull shirt design. It makes for a nice celebration of "vulture culture", as it has come to be called (bone and other-dead-stuff collecting).
